Betomix-ITH Gel Crystal Producing Liquid Concrete Waterproofing Admixture

BETOMIX-ITH Gel® is a yellow-green colored viscous gel consistency liquid waterproofing additive.
BETOMIX-ITH Gel®, which consists of active chemical components, is added during the mixing of the concrete. It is a ready-to-use liquid additive developed for concrete mixer and batching plant.

BETOMIX-ITH Gel® is a waterproofing material that produces crystals by penetrating the concrete against moisture after it is mixed into the concrete as an additive. The active chemicals in its content penetrate the surface, react to moisture and hardened concrete components and enter into a catalytic reaction.

This reaction creates insoluble crystal formation in both the cavities and capillary channels and cracks of the concrete, rendering the concrete permanently impermeable to water.
It does not allow water and other liquids to leak from any direction, even under high hydrostatic pressure.

Purpose of usage

BETOMIX-ITH Gel® increases the water impermeability, frost resistance and strength of concrete structures by filling the pores with crystal particles. BETOMIX-ITH Gel® is added during the mixing of the concrete. Water-soluble chemicals are evenly distributed in the concrete mix.

The active ingredients of the BETOMIX-ITH Gel® additive ensure the crystallization of insoluble hydrates in the pores on the concrete. Pinhead crystals fill the voids, fine cracks and holes in the concrete.

The crystal formation process continues only when it is in contact with water and moisture until the cavities are completely closed. In this way, a strong and durable interlocking crystal network is formed. This prevents water from penetrating into the concrete, creating a strong and continuous waterproofing effect.

There is no need for additional waterproofing after using BETOMIX-ITH Gel® additive. Compatible with other additives for concrete mix (plasticization, frost resistance, etc.)

Technical Features and Advantages

Consumption

A liquid admixture of 1.0% of the cement mass in the concrete mixture or 4 kg for 1 cubic meter of concrete is used.

Operating Instructions

Please pour the concrete mix in accordance with the concrete usage rules.
BETOMIX-ITH Gel® is in liquid form and ready to use. Add liquid BETOMIX-ITH Gel® to the concrete mix. Mix for 1-2 minutes with a low speed drill.

  • Mixing in Concrete Mixer

BETOMIX-ITH Gel® is added to the concrete mixer (transmixer) just before pouring the concrete and mixed at high speed for 5-10 minutes.

  • Mixing in Central Concrete Plant

Since BETOMIX-ITH Gel® is in liquid form, it is suitable for computer controlled dosing and blending. Since the product is ready, there is no need for mixing. It is possible to add BETOMIX-ITH Gel® to the concrete mix with liquid pump equipment without the use of manpower during the process.

  • Compatibility:

It is frost resistant, suitable for use with plasticizers and other additives.

  • Warning / Restriction:

BETOMIX-ITH Gel® is only effective when used with cement-containing mineral materials. When applied to microsilica-containing and polymer concretes, efficient results are not obtained. It should not be used in gypsum and lime mortars.

BETOMIX-ITH Gel ® is non-toxic and does not pose a danger to the environment and human health during transportation, storage and application. According to GOST 12.1.007-76, it belongs to the 4th hazard class in terms of physico-chemical and sanitary-biological properties (less dangerous substances – the maximum level of pollution is 50 mg / m³).
